I'm only doing free hosts for now. I think the choice may be with which offers the most storage and as you said, ease of use. PostImage is easy with almost no advertising. I still haven't found the limit on storage.

Yes, PB does have more downtime then they do run-time, so very annoying but, they have many features that most don't have and the two that always concern me is the links and privacy settings. I worry about compressed files since Twitter literally kills the quality of my photos with their compression so I don't post many photos there at all. I just started using the 2.77 MB my other files were MUCH bigger and finally downsized because of my ISP. bandwidth, they charge extra if I use too much.

I use a free editor 'irfanview' to edit and size my photos. I've used it for over 10 years without a hitch updating when a new version is available. It also allows me to work with image files with strange extensions and convert them to jpeg or bitmap etc.

I finished up with my Flickr account this morning now all I need to do is fill it up with some photos.
