It's heavy Les. Not so much of a walk about rig.

Would not suit me then as most my shots are taken from my walks

Hi Sam, not been on for a while, been helping Lumix (Ron) by looking after the forum for him as he is not very well at the moment. Also been quite busy with my camera club, we have had exhibitions at various venues, internal comps, printing and mounting prints!! This one won the last open print comp at the club. The idea behind the image was this, I have always wanted to reproduce a image from the Renaissance period, like the old masters this was my effort.

Zeke, first thanks for the message.
I don't have a clue as to how you achieved this image but it is a work of art. I'm VERY impressed. You editing skills are obviously every bit as good as your 'eye' and technique with sets and settings.

Thanks Sam It took me three days to get it how I wanted it, the best about still life is you can take your time, it's not going any where. equipment was, Hessian backcloth, marble effect top, one desk lamp at the front, one desk lamp at the back, both lamps had home made diffusers between them and the gourds, new camera (Canon 1DX) not boasting!! on tripod, wireless shutter release, used live view to compose better. The suns rays were achieved in PS CC.
