Turkey Tail fungi grows in abundance locally. This flush had sprung up on a small stump left by cutting some brush around my yard at Brooks. Finding it reminded me of Turkey Tails medicinal properties and my need to harvest a little for a batch of tea. Here's some of the things being said about Turkey Tail. draxe.com/turkey-tail-mushroom/

I think I had some of this on a tree a couple of years back, and was not sure what it was. Any particular tree they grow on? It was on one of my Golden Rain Trees.

It doesn't much care what kind of wood. It will even grow on some conifers. There are excellent youtube videos on making a positive ID. Most important is the white to near white underside with many pores. Turkey Tail is a poly pore fungi. No gills. The are good videos for preparing tinctures and teas as well.
