Thanks Magix. I did. I got some overdue shopping done and then took Miss Gracie for a drive. It was dark, gloomy and rained all day but we managed to get some so so shots of a couple small waterfalls. Looks like the best shot to get another stone in is tomorrow. We're actually forecast to have only partly cloudy conditions at times.

We're forecast to have at least some breaks in the showers today. I'm hoping to get at least one stone set.

Whew! I am worn out! I did manage to get two stones set today for my terrace but it took all the effort I could muster. I'm having to move the stones farther and farther, I've used the close ones The one next to the last on the right is a big rascal. Took a lot to get it up out of the ground. Depending on their size three or four more might finish it.

OK, so yesterday I cheated I took my ancient ATV up my haul road and located a couple of stones that I could hook to. One (seen in the photo just above the rear carrier rack) was smaller but still a large stone. I dragged it nearly a 100 yards around the hill to a spot about 50 yards above the project then dragged it down the hill by hand (too steep for the ATV). Then the larger stone I pulled with the ATV right down the haul road, across my driveway, through the yard, around the house, across the old veggie garden and to a point just below where it would eventually be set. I hooked short, held the throttle wide open in first gear in 4 wheel low and didn't stop till I got it where you see it in the first photo! I think this last stone resembles the shape of a heart. And there's all the stones in place for the first terrace. Worked out really well on spacing. That's what the stake with the ribbon is about. One, to give me a little visual alignment, tow, to make sure there's room for work related activities without harming a young sassafras tree that I particularly want incorporated into my garden. The old shed is scheduled to be removed entirely. There's the sassafras next to an old stump.

Thank you Les. I saw a honey bee at Brooks Friday, he may have been checking me out. I ran to the house for the camera but he was gone.

I'm not positive what order the steps of my project will take but this old wheel barrow from my father in law's estate will be part of it. Both bees and butterflies like a mud pit so I may weather proof what's left of the old wheel barrow and water proof the tub and use it as my mud pit. Or it may become a planter for flowers, haven't decided for sure.

Thank you Magix. I got some brush and small, unwanted trees cleared off today. I rolled out some rocks to be used on the project, then I 'grubbed' out some stumps that would hender mowing. That was tough.

WOOT WOOT! Christmas in January My Grape Hyacinth bulbs came in today. I got some of the usual purple and there were some listed as 'Siberian White' so I got some of those too! It would have been better to have planted them last fall but I planted them TODAY hoping they will still make it for a bloom this spring. I'll add more as they become available in stores locally. I may not get blossoms till next year.
