This caught my eye this morning. I've read on the many benefits of vinegar before and have been using it more often over the last couple of years. It's cheap and available everywhere. I'm slightly boiling baby carrots to tenderize them just a bit, then marinating them in a solution of half and half water and vinegar. Salt them heavily and sprinkle on plenty of black pepper. Then just let them set out on the counter during the day. If you get hungry, munch one or two. They taste great and add almost no calories to your diet. I'm also making a HOT salad (and I like it very much). Just a bag salad from the grocery, put some in a bowl, douse liberally with vinegar, again salt and pepper and heat in the micro wave. No dressing and having the salad hot is different. Gives you a nice change and the vinegar will have the sweat popping out on your forehead on these cold winter days.
