These are edible but not much taste. Usually added to another dish or soup. This time of year, as far as finding color to photograph ... I'll take anything I can get

I haven't tried them either. I don't usually find enough on any given day to make it worthwhile to make a pot of soup. I do plane to try them though.

I just envision them as being really squishy on the palate - but in a different way from normal mushroom squishy-ness.
