Thanks Les. These are harmless and I think they catch mice so they are beneficial to have around.

I saw a gorgeous 4 foot long bull snake this afternoon, but it got away before I could get close enough for a shot.

Thanks mb. Most of the time, if you approach these little guys very slowly, they'll let you get pretty close.

There are several varieties here Zeke. Even a couple of poison ones. We have the Copperhead and the Eastern Timber Rattlesnake.
