In tidying up a bit around Three Rivers Avian Center on Thursday, we displaced this poor ol' black snake. It seems that everything we moved had been part of his domain, especially some coils of black PVC pipe. Ron Perrone and I saw him several times during the day looking for his 'stuff'. Pitifully, early next morning, yesterday, he was cuddled up with the water hose at the back of the hospital. Sound asleep, or pouting? In either case Ron had to move him, I needed the water hose. Winston (his new name) was very indignant at all the jostling. Ron had no choice other than to fetch a length of the PVC and restore it to its previous location. It seems that Winston is claiming it right away.

Thank you Les. Looked for him all day on Saturday at the anniversary celebration but didn't see him. Probably too many people.

Thank you Zeke. I'm very fortunate to live in a scenic area with lots of critters, birds, flowers etc. but it's good to see the wildlife you have too. We may have some in other regions, but I'm inland and many of the birds you have there are new to me. Also, I'll never turn down a chance to see a good farm set, zoo, family pet or your Aunt Edna
