Maybe this doesn't fit very well in this category, but wasn't sure which one to put it in. This picture was kind of an accident, was just trying to get one of the train but got impatient waiting for people to walk by so ended up getting somebody in the shot. I think it actually turned out better that way though. This is another of my favorites, seems like a scene out of an "old-timey" movie with the guy walking along the platform.

Great colors and composition as well. The figure is not distracting at all. Another very welcome photo here. You have some fascinating pictures, I'm really enjoying them.

I like the addition of the figure. Sometimes adding a person increases the story or gives scale to the scene.

The background on this one is a little neat - it was called the Jacobite Steam Line, and runs through some good scenery in the Scottish Highlands. When it really became famous though was after the Harry Potter movies came out, because it goes over the Glenfinnan Viaduct which was used in a scene in the movie. Also there were some islands in a lake, one of which was Dumbledore's burial site I guess (never saw that movie apparently). The railroad employee walking through the coaches pointed it out as we went past it though. Here's a picture of the viaduct as we went over, and then the scene from the movie...I think that lake on the left side of the screen at the very end (last 2 seconds or so) of the movie was the one that had the island with Dumbledore's grave.
