This photo was taken during a trip to the zoo today. It was late afternoon, and the back of the enclosure was deeply shadowed. I was VERY surprised at how this one turned out.

That's a keeper! Just couldn't be much better than that. Congrats on an excellent capture. Can't get over the light in the eye and even the beginning translucence in the beak. A very special shot.

Using the dark background really pops the eagle. This is a very good photo by ANY standard.

Funny thing is, I hadn't planned it that way. It's just the way it came out when I zoomed in on his head. Got lucky on it!
