Here's a few of Scotland - I love the countryside up there and the atmosphere and all that, so they're all kind of special pictures to me at least. Maybe the photography wasn't that great though . Here's a "proper" castle for Sam - Caerlaverick in southwest Scotland. It's pronounced care-lav-er-ick ( the pronunciation there is tough sometimes for me to figure out so just threw that in there). It's a triangular castle so kind of an odd shape, not seen that before anywhere - the front of it is the only good side to get a picture of though, since it's more of a ruin the other walls have fallen down partly over the years (you can see it on the sides as they extend back).

The Glencoe valley - which is hard to imagine a place this beautiful would have such a horrible history behind it.

ratchets ... can't thank you enough for the castle. I worked as a brick/block/stone mason for a while and that type of architecture always attracts me. I also love the romanticism attached to castles. I marvel at the culture of the period, the battles, wars, hardships and fantasy we now equate with the period. The other two photos are amazing to me. Such rugged beauty. Love these. I agree about the pronunciation ... I had a devil of a time teaching my computer to b-b-br, brrrrr... brrrrrrrrrrogue !!!!
