Awenaturale needs more activity. In that light, I've turned on the 'Add image to post' function so that members and staff can add photos directly from their computer to the message boards. There is a button directly above 'reply' boxes (on the left side) that allows this. Since we are, at present, a free message board, the software will post a clickable thumbnail of your photo (to minimize bandwidth usage). By simply clicking that thumbnail image, other members will be able to view your images full size. It is recommended that you size your photos first to ease opening them and viewing them here on Awenaturale. Here's an example: This was accomplished by clicking 'Add image to post'. Then click 'Browse' and choose an image (picture) from files stored on your computer. I then sized the photo I chose to 800 pixels wide (a good size for most any message board). I then chose 'family safe' as this is a family safe message board. Then 'upload' it. A link is added to your post. When you click 'Create Post' to post your message, your image will appear with your message as the clickable thumbnail mentioned above. Hope you'll try this and help Awenaturale become even more fun by sharing your favorite photos here! Sam Administratio, Awenaturale

Linette, you are welcome and even encouraged to add a link here to your board. I'm sure it's a great place to visit.

Thank you so much Sam; it's just a hobby board mostly. Canadian Bacon was something of a title I stumbled upon and I would really really appreciate it if you could promote your forum community at my board HERE because the one thing whether it be a good thing or not to some, but I do try to encourage people to get out there and take photos and share. So many people have no idea that they're a natural and I keep bumping into them and when I do I encourage them to get out there and start finding themselves with camera in tow. Some say they will never be as good as me (lol) or those professional photographers and I always tell them, you have to start somewhere how do you think they became pros. Or they think it's because they don't have a fancy camera like me and I reassure them that when I had a cheap little Lumix camera people assumed I was using a $3000 camera and lens to get that shot. lol I also remind them that most reporters use their cell phones to capture some of the pics they see in the media. It's not the camera that makes the photo, it's the person who take the picture that makes the photo and I remind them that all the time. I told my friend about your community forum here, Sam and she said she will come and checkout your community forum when she has time and is well, she too LOVES photography, another passionate photographer.

Thank you for the link and invitation.
I like your view on photography and cameras. That's one reason I have included a category here for cell (mobile) phone pictures. Interesting shots can happen at any time also some folks are very creative with their existing equipment. I too like to encourage people to just go take some photos.
Having said that, if you need another topic added here to accommodate a type of photo we don't presently list, just ask.

Interesting shots can happen at any time also some folks are very creative with their existing equipment. I too like to encourage people to just go take some photos. Having said that, if you need another topic added here to accommodate a type of photo we don't presently list, just ask. I am by far a pro even though some rookie photographers think I am and I take it as a compliment, I'm so self taught it's not funny. lol I learn from trial and error and from pro photographers from reading, watching, and asking then literally getting out there and enjoying what I have learned and my outcome is so rewarding beyond belief. When I look back at the photos from years ago I can see how much of a rookie I was and what a horrible camera I had lol because the photo's were not capturing the light, shadows, and the clarity well, there was none. lol I've come along way and have grown proud of myself and even that alone is rewarding because I learned that I have a talent I didn't know I had. ♥ I think of that after all that has been said and feel there's so many like me out there that need to realize this about themselves, I could have missed out on this opportunity and so many could have or will be, they need to know this. I met a lady where I live who approached me about my camera and so really wanted to get into photography but, couldn't afford a fancy camera like me as she would call it, I asked her if she had a phone and she said yes, I told her that popular artists and reporters use cell phones, there's even attachments for those little lenses they have, I said girl you don't need to spend all that money on a fancy camera when you have one right there in your hand. I made her day right there and made her day even bigger when I told her that EVERY photographer started somewhere and some of them started with a phone with a camera that was nowhere as good as the cameras that are built right in the phones they make compared to many moons ago. She asked if she can take close up shots of flowers because she really wanted to take large close up shots of flowers and I told her they sell macro lenses for cell phones, her eyes just popped then cocky lol because she didn't know what macro was and I explained it to her how close of a close up shot she can get with a macro lens for her phone. Needless to say, she's really really excitingly happy about that. I met her before she moved out and was telling me how discouraged she was because she couldn't afford it and I told her that patients is a virtue and so are unexpected surprises as well, I gave a hug and told her not to give up and keep taking pics anyways, eventually that time will come when she will receive what she wants.

All very good advice. I would point out one other aspect. I read in a photog magazine, I wish I could remember the author he is quite famous ... anyway he said 'the best camera is the one you are most likely to have with you'. For almost all of us now, that would be our cellphone (mobile)camera. No camera will make the shot if it's back home or locked in the car.
