I was sucked in by Flickr's, ahem, FREE? one terabyte offer. Like everyone else, once they'd built a huge data base of people's photos, they shut off the one terabyte and started charging (just like image shack then photobucket). With 20,000 photos held hostage, I pay. It's not that much but it's the principle of being taken that bothers me. Now I'm getting emails that they're losing money... guess what's next?!?!?
I had really good results with Blue Melon. I'm not sure they're still around but it was a very stable free account.
Love Canon, the selling feature for me with Nikkon, and I've owned and used both brands, is the on/off, shutter release. Nikon's is where I need it to capture instant insect/bird/action shots that I was missing with Canon's arrangement.

I have mentioned before about Maidstones Dinosaur and now have found this
Local News on this day 11th February 1840.
The Maidstone Journal announced that the Maidstone Igunodon was now unpacked and open to inspection in a new room at the British Museum. It was discovered by Mr W.W.Bensted, in 1831 and rescued from destruction, as portions of it were to have been broken up for road repairs. The hole in which a charge of gunpowder was put, was still visible and it was a matter of great surprise that Mr Bensted had succeeded in regaining the fragments, as some had been blown a considerable difference by the gunpowder, particulary as they were not fitted together again for some time after. The fossil was unique, as was at that time, the only instance of a skeleton of an Iguandon, having been found in a connected state and confirmed the opinion given by Dr Mantell of the past existence of the wonderful reptile. The specimen had the stone, cleared from it's bones, which stood out in bold relief and was one of the most interesting discoveries, that has been made in geology for many years

A Windows update crashed my old laptop. I am unable to get into Flickr to view or retrieve my image files until I can try to access from another computer. I'll try again later today.

Sorry about yesterday. I took the wife in to emergency room around midnight Sat. night. Didn't get home until after 7 a.m. Dr. thinks kidney infection. She got pain meds and antibiotic. Ok for now, we'll see her regular dr. as soon as we can get an appointment.

She's doing fine. Still a little sore in her tummy, but able to tolerate most food. She is up and about and active. Thanks for asking les,
