My daughter in law's mother was scheduled to have both knees replaced/repaired. She came down with covid and now the surgery will have to be rescheduled. UPDATE:

Wednesday morning my Daughter went out to start her car but the battery was flat so she took the bus to work. it was wet all wednestday but yesterday was dry so we went out to take the battary out the car. we had one stuber nut but a little wd40 looswbd it the took the battary in to charge it. with my knee felt heavier than last time and made theknee hurt again. when we came to put battary in I desconered the battery was missing the stub to tighten the terminal. so I go some tin foil and put that over the termnal and knooked it on so it is now tight .Hoprfuuly that will hold tilll we get a new battay. , this as set my knee of again but will rest it as much as posible.

Usually when batteries start giving problems it's best to replace them. You wouldn't want your daughter stuck along side the highway, especially at night. I've had to do similar with battery posts. Had to screw in a large screw so the terminal would stay tight once. Hope the knee mends quickly.

I to;d her to run the engine a little while when she parks and turn off the heater and lights the knee is about the same.

May have a bad solenoid Les. Do you think it was the starter dragging instead of the battery?

No she left it at home as she did not want to drive in th snow. She not yet drove in the snow so she a bit scared of iy. and the battary is completely flat.I tried the trick of putting it and rocking the car and you hear the clunk where the cog on the sterter is locked on the flywheel. some has said it may just be frozen.

I've had the starter engage and not come loose on riding lawn mowers. Same principal, I've tried rocking them too with little success. Hope you can get her car running without destroying your knee.

Rebecca, my wife's, blood sugar tanked yesterday. I've been there with her until just now, made it back to Brooks. Everything is fine, just tired. Going to grocery store then try for a nap. Been up all night. Will try to get in later.
