I took a lot of pics on our trip to South Dakota - too many to post individually. So, here are the album links.

... grrrrrrrrrrrrr >:-( ... how do you keep getting owl shots (owls are a favorite raptor of mine. I get to see them so seldom though). That mystery park made me a little dizzy. I may have to take a nap before going to page two.

awww, Rushmore. I'd LOVE to see that. The country surrounding it is remarkable too. And of course, on the military stuff ... 'tanks' a lot.

Now. I've never been all that competitive and photography is no exception. I like your photos. I like that you share them. I get to see things I don't see here and your photos are really good too.

I didn't realize we had owls that nested so close until just last week. I hear them in the early morning sometimes, but of course, it's too dark to go look for them. The bison were an unanticipated bonus, and only occurred because we took a wrong turn in our quest to see the White River. It took us miles out of our way, but it ended up being worth it, just to see them.
The mystery park made ME dizzy too - literally. I seriously thought I was going to barf.

Oh, I don't think of things as a competition. But your pics are always so outstanding and unless/until I take some classes, I know I'll never come close. It makes me appreciate your shots all the more. I'm glad you enjoy mine, too.

There's really good youtube and other tutorials online for any camera made, even whole forums. They are handy, you visit them at your leisure. You can find specific info or answers anytime for any subject, depth of field, exposure times, settings, flash etc, etc, etc. Well worth a look.
