Had a yard full of Jack Daws yesterday. They seem to scatter the rest of the bird population too.

We don't have Jack Daws. Lots of grackles though. They're a little smaller than a crow. Pretty destructive to grain and fruit. They gang up in HUGE flocks this time of year to fly south.

We have grackles year round here. They've been known to load the electric lines down and snap one. Several businesses have had to cut down big trees because they bombed the parking lots (cars) so bad.

Grackles and starlings both are a big nuisance here. They'll make such a mess of your cherry trees that the whole crop can be lost. Too nasty to pick or eat.

The grackles are rough on other fruits too. They'll ruin an apple crop, or plums, or peaches ..........
