I'd seen this scraggly looking weed before but never paid much attention or looked closely at the blossom. It's kinda pretty. Spotted knapweed makes and then secretes chemicals into the soil that kill surrounding plants. There a name for this. It's called allelopathy. It's considered an invasive species. I didn't find any good uses for it.

The flowers are pretty though. Why is it that the most worthless things are the easiest on the eyes?
