Gracie is used to being very active. Her recuperation time is very trying ... for us both. I'm trying to take her for short walks in the cool of the early mornings as I can. It's a real chore to try and keep her on the roadway or the trail and not go traipsing off chasing something. This was early yesterday morning. It got her stirred up and she was rowdy the rest of the day.

Thanks mic, and les, It's hard to hold her back now. Still needs skin covering that foot though.

This shot is from early yesterday morning. Though busy, I'm so glad I took the time to take her for a short walk. Her fall in the yard last night may take more recovery time than the snake bite. She's in a lot of pain. I hope Linda, the vet, can work more of her miracles this morning. Oh, and Gracie's forelegs and feet do look funny in the photo. They were shaved so IV's could be administered for her snakebite. Just her legs were shaved so it makes her feet look even bigger. Poor Gracie

Have you ever considered getting her shaved for the summer?

samantha, I have a good grooming set. I may attempt it. She doesn't like the clippers. les, I'm sure she was smiling in that photo. She was out, on her island and free. Later in the day was when she hurt her leg, but that improved on it's own and she seems fine now.

Gotta keep that girl healthy and happy. You a good dog daddy. Poor thing is going stir crazy. I'm going to try and take her over to the island this a.m. while it's cool. The grass can wait a couple hours.
