Taken 8-27-13. Started up the driveway about 5:30 this morning and saw this interesting little rascal. This is NOT a woolly worm, it's a stinging worm. Their spiky spines have a painful toxin that is injected when the 'stinger' punctures the skin. Most commonly several spikes puncture your skin upon contact. Taken with flash using my small Fuji 'carry' point and shoot.
