Drying my crop of seeds from a string bean that has been in my family for 70+ years. No one had a name for them. My grandmother named them 'Hillbilly Beans' so that the family could keep up with them. They were lost to the family until in 2013 when I was cleaning out my mom's deep freeze after she'd passed in 2012. I found a packet carefully wrapped and labeled 'Hillybilly Beans, 1988'. They'd been stored frozen for years. I've started planting and increasing my number of seed. I think I now have enough to actually cook some next year and still keep seed.

These are bush beans but the same. The whole bean is cooked and eaten green.
